Notice of Data Security Incident

Parker Wellbore understands the importance of safeguarding employment-related information. We recently identified and addressed an incident involving some of that information. This notice explains the incident and measures we have taken in response.

On April 16, 2023, we identified a ransomware incident on certain servers within our network. We immediately implemented our response protocols and launched an investigation with assistance from a cybersecurity firm. The investigation determined that, between April 10, 2023, and April 16, 2023, an unauthorized actor accessed and obtained files from certain servers, including those containing human resources information.

Some of the impacted files may have contained individuals’ name, Social Security number, direct deposit information, date of birth, passport number, driver’s license number and/or health insurance plan enrollment information. We do not know whether any employee information was actually viewed by the unauthorized actor, however we could not rule it out.

We are mailing letters to affected individuals and offering complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services to those whose information is involved. If you believe you are affected by this incident and do not receive a letter by July 15, 2023, please call our dedicated assistance line available at 844-683-9399, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Eastern Time.

We wanted to notify you of this incident and to assure you that we take it seriously. To help prevent something like this from happening again, we have taken steps to enhance our existing security measures.
