Job Description

The Treasury Analyst will be responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing complex financial management concepts and techniques for supporting the Treasury function, including but not limited to, cash and liquidity management, credit assessments, financial controls, and financial planning.

Essential functions

  • Prepare cash forecasts, including developing an understanding of the underlying organizational structure internal and external cash flows;
  • Prepare borrowing base calculations and compliance certifications to support Company borrowings;
  • Perform credit analyses on potential and current customers and vendors, as necessary, utilizing publicly available information, credit applications, and other evidence;
  • Establish and maintain letters of credit by completing applications, negotiating terms and conditions, monitoring expirations, and preparing monthly summaries;
  • Assist the  Treasurer in  the  development  of  the  budget and  other  corporate  financial planning projects;
  • Establish databases and records of pertinent information for use in analyzing plans and forecasts;
  • As necessary, coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trending future requirements, governmental requirements, and operating forecasts.
  • Assist in the administration of the Company's credit card programs;
  • Assist in the administration of the Company's bank accounts;
  • On an ad hoc basis, analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance of the Company or other parties;
  • On an ad hoc basis, evaluate complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements of the Company or other parties;
  • On an ad hoc basis, conduct special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepare recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action;
  • On an ad hoc basis, direct preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts for the Company or other parties;
  • As needed, research and prepare economic reports on subjects such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impacts of governmental requirements;
  • Interact professionally with both internal and external constituents, maintain effective  working relationships, and work in cooperation with local accounting personnel;
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures;
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned;

Qualifications

Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required;
  • A CPA or MBA  preferred;
  • Should have at least 3 years of specific work experience in a corporate setting;
  • Must  be  a  detail-oriented self-starter and be able to work with little supervision while maintaining goaIs/tasks;
  • Must have excellent leadership and analytical skills;
  • Must have excellent PC skills to include all MS Office products;
  • Must be proficient interpreting and analyzing financial and credit report analyses;
  • Must have financial analysis modeling skills;
  • Hyperion/Essbase experience preferred;
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate in a professional manner with staff, management, customers, and vendors;
  • Must be able to handle  multiple tasks simultaneously while  managing time  in a proficient and effective manner.
