Job Description

Main Objective of Role:

  • Responsibility for operational procedures and the supervision of Pressure Control and Rental Services.
  • Ensuring product is delivered to the customer as per their specifications and requirements.
  • Plan, direct, monitor and coordinate the operations of the Workshop.
  • Ensure and improve the safety, productivity, performance efficiency and profitability of the Workshop.

Duties, Responsibilities & Key Tasks:

  • To ensure all products reach the end user in a fit for purpose condition.
  • Maintaining products to the high Parker Wellbore standard.
  • Perform pressure testing and maintain the record fit for reporting to customers.
  • Prepare and maintain (in collaboration with the Office Support) all inspection history records of tools and products.
  • Perform periodic checks, testing of equipment as and when required and maintain records.   
  • Ensure that tools and equipment are properly functioning and inspected.
  • Ensure all products, items, equipment of Parker Wellbore are conform the related standards, legal & contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and conduct tool box meetings with the workshop workforce (in collaboration with the Office Support).
  • Collaborate with the Office Support to plan and schedule preventive maintenance of plants and equipment.
  • Delegate tasks and accountabilities, establish work schedules.
  • Additional duties may be required either on a permanent or temporary basis within area of responsibility to fulfil the company’s needs.

Qualifications

Job Specification Requirements:

Education / Qualification:

  • Equivalent to graduation or a diploma from college or university

Experience:

  • Two years of practical experience in Oil & Gas

Technical Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Pressure Control and Rental Equipment.
  • Good knowledge of Operational and maintenance procedures including pressure testing.
  • Awareness of API specification standards.

Administrative Skills:

  • Delegate tasks and allocate work.
  • Set targets and monitor performance.
  • Manage successful projects / time effectively.
  • Resolve conflicts.
  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management.

HSEQ System Requirements:

Parker Wellbore operates an Integrated Management System (IMS) at all operational facilities to meet their business, legal and moral HSEQ obligations. All personnel are required to work in full compliance with the requirements set out in the Parker Wellbore Group IMS, this will include as a minimum.

  • Ensuring that work is carried out in compliance with company Quality, Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Not undertaking any task for which authorization and/or training has not been given.
  • Ensuring the highest standard of workmanship produced is in accordance with the company expectations and as per customer, regulatory standards and specification.
  • Promoting good health, safety and environmental practices throughout all company activities.
  • Wearing the assigned Personal Protective Equipment required.
  • Taking care to prevent harm to themselves, colleagues and others and the environment that may be caused by our acts or omissions.
  • Keeping the work area neat, organized & free of trip and other hazards.
  • Reporting hazards in plant, equipment and other work place, or short comings in the existing controls, to a superior without delay.
  • Supporting continual improvement of the integrated management system by expressing better and safer ways to perform tasks and improve policies and procedures.
  • Participate in HSEQ training required to meet minimum identified for position undertaken
  • Attending Toolbox Talks, HSEQ meetings and trainings as and when required.

HSEQ Authority:

  • To report any unsafe behaviors to their immediate Supervisor or Safety representative. Where there may be conflict report directly to facility HSEQ Manager.
  • Authority on HSEQ grounds to stop operations or delivery of product on the existence of an immediate risk of harm to personnel or environmental pollution and damage to property.
