Job Description

Real Time Operating Center Analyst works with Real Time and reporting operational data to document findings, prepare reports, and make recommendations; collaborates with managers and employees to implement actions to improve RTOC (Real Time Operating Center) process.

Essential Functions:

  • Carry out Real Time Rig Operational DATA & Reports QC.
  • Setup and Monitor Real-time.
  • Communicate events to the operations team globally.
  • Aid in failure investigation.
  • Troubleshoot data issues: rig, IT, 3rd party communication.
  • Capture Lesson Learned and Best Practices.
  • Update /Automate RTOC process.
  • Aid in quarterly Continuous Improvement operations performance reviews.
  • Contribute/Lead projects related to implementation of RTOC technologies.
  • Work with Business Development department to aid in creation of marketing material.
  • Travel to aid in hardware installation related to RTOC operations.
  • Tracks, records, and creates databases, processes data, analyzes and presents information relevant to improve the quality and performance in drilling operations. Works collaboratively to create drilling procedures and policies and formalize them to be put into practice.
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project related goals.
  • Concurrently handles multiple projects independently.
  • Interacts effectively with all levels of management through verbal and written communications.
  • Collaborates with management to create performance objectives and KPIs.
  • Coordinates with maintenance personnel to identify risks, formalize maintenance procedures to effectively support drilling operations and systems.
  • Creates and presents trends and performance reports.
  • Participates in operational meetings to identify efficiency, safety potential; failures/learned lessons and other operational areas.
  • Reviews and understands contract objectives.
  • Understands the drilling program of the area.
  • Is familiar with the equipment required to fulfill the contract’s provisions
  • Works collaboratively with field operations/field personnel in order to ensure performance.
  • Provides with the client at a technical level.
  • Keeps track of the operation and related records.
  • Assists management in presentations.
  • Assists the division in audits related to performance (quality, maintenance, etc.).
  • Obtains relevant data, carries out analysis and recommends immediate actions as necessary
  • Carries out operational engineering analyses of rig site data and prepares regular well reports.
  • Collaborates in work with the drilling team.
  • Assists with other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in any engineering faculty or relevant subject is preferred.
  • Must have 2 to 4 years of experience, preferably around drilling operations/engineering, field operations, or fieldwork and/or related subjects.
  • Two years related to Drilling operations (Drilling Support Engineer, Drilling Engineer, Mud Logging Engineer, MWD, etc.).
  • Experience with rig equipment.
  • Demonstrate experience leading or contributing to projects associated with innovation & Continuous Improvement.
  • Knowledge and experience with SharePoint, a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with data analytics tools such as XLS, PowerBi, Tableau, etc., is a plus.
  • Fluent Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Assists with other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Must understand, interpret, and implement applicable regulations within business unit regulatory jurisdiction.
  • Must understand and develop technical limits information related to drilling operations.
  • Working experience with an international drilling contractor, drilling technology, drilling service company, or operator is preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented, self-starter, and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers, and vendors.
