Job Description
The General Manager takes Total Ownership for the entire location. This position is responsible for providing leadership and management for safety, customer relations, operational execution, financial planning and results, commercial development, and the strategic vision of the location. The General Manager is responsible to ensure that the location and operations are executed in compliance with company guidelines, policies and procedures. This includes ensuring compliance with all company, client, and provincial or federal rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides visible leadership with One Parker Total Ownership Attitude.
- Enforces, clarifies, and follows Company Policies, Standards and Procedures.
- Oversees the day to day business operations.
- Promotes operational excellence through procedural and operational discipline.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the strategic plan for the UK and Netherlands.
- Responsible for UK and Netherlands profit & loss (P&L).
- Responsible for developing the annual capital spending and AFE budget.
- Responsible for managing the UK and Netherlands profit and loss financials.
- Responsible for maintaining company assets and records in accordance with Company Policies.
- Responsible for client relationships and business development efforts.
- Responsible for other local relationships (customer, vendors, and government) critical to the success of the operation.
- Ensures strict adherence to company policies including those in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Ensures strict adherence to company and government compliance related policies including the Code of Conduct, the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and local laws and regulations.
- Reviews contracts to ensure company’s interests are maintained.
- Leads efforts to ensure employees are trained and competent for the roles they fill and that the KSA procedure from the IMS is followed.
- Ensures that good communication and coordination between division, region and corporate staff functions.
- Performs additional duties, responsibilities, and special projects as may be directed.
QUALITY AND SAFETY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to demand compliance with all safety and environmental laws, regulations and company’s QHSSE policies and procedures.
- Provide visible leadership engagement with regard to QHSSE.
- Ensures that personal behavior and work practices are in line with Company safety standards.
- Responsible for safety of self and others in the vicinity to include, but not limited to, employees, vendors and guests.
- Must participate and promote the use of Stop Work Authority (SWA).
- Must participate and promote the behavioral based safety program (such as STOP or COACH card programs)
- At a high level, must ensure safety drills (such as: well control, fire, man down etc.) are conducted per customer and regulatory requirements.
- At a high level, must lead efforts to create and revise Work Safe Procedures as required, including after action reviews (AARs), and promote culture of operational and procedural discipline.
- At a high level, must lead efforts to with regard to dropped object prevention, including red zone/exclusion zone management.
- Ensure all incidents are reported and appropriately investigated in accordance with Company Policies.
- Develop and annually review a Parker Wellbore UK and NL Emergency Response plan.

Qualifications
Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities
Experience:
- 7/10 years in Tubular running Services with a minimum of 5 years in field support position, business development,
- Strong Industry experience in both a technical and commercial capacity o Product experience / product commercialization / engineering.
- Customer relation experience, good negotiator, proven team-building skills. Administrative / Other Skills:
- English speaking and writing is a must. Any additional language is appreciated.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen, interpersonal, communication, leadership & presentation skills.
