Job Description

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the supply chain process of goods and services for the location’s operations. The Logistics Specialist will work closely with suppliers, drilling and tubular running operations teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality are critical to this position and will contribute to the success of the location's operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with operations to source materials and services, obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, create and track POs in Oracle, manage the new vendor adds process, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Coordinate shipments with the freight forwarders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods in the locations. Support the goods imports/exports process. Coordinate and manage the logistics of subcontractors to the locations.
  • Analyze demand patterns and assist in forecasting goods and services requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (western hemisphere and corporate SC team, drilling, operations, finance, etc) to align supply chain activities.
  • Maintain documentation related to procurement and logistics. Prepare reports on supply chain performance metrics and KPIs. Assist in budgeting and cost analysis. Handle correspondence with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Assist in preparing contractual paperwork for reimbursable goods and services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or related field.
  • Proven +5 years’ experience in Supply Chain coordination-related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using supply chain software and ERP Oracle, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills demonstrated
  • Effective motivation to achieve SC and support other divisional and corporate goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage peers and maintain a cohesive team environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including some weekend work assignments.

Successful completion of onboarding prerequisites:

  • Background screening, including a review of driving records.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
