Job Description

The Maintenance Advisor position is responsible for the management and updating of internal processes and procedures relative to API and other regulatory body standards and requirements. The Maintenance Advisor is also responsible for providing guidance and support in the maintenance of equipment ensuring the safe and reliable operation of Parkers assets. The Maintenance Advisor will work closely with engineering, operations and the various maintenance teams to enhance asset performance, reduce downtime and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of maintenance plans and schedules and follow-up to ensure timely execution and completion of maintenance activities
  • Provide oversight of inspection, testing and maintenance activities
  • Plan maintenance activities and asset management while overseeing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance and reduce cost
  • Ensure accurate data entry and reporting to support decision-making and improve maintenance efficiency
  • Use available systems to ensure that maintenance plans an schedules are optimized for efficiency

Qualifications

 

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in performing skilled maintenance activities
  • Must possess and maintain the appropriate certifications and licenses necessary as required by the appropriate regulatory agencies
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of the mechanical and electrical equipment associated with rig installation, including the operation and maintenance of pumping and piping systems, associated control system and jacking systems
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and understand functionality of various rig equipment
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills as required in order to perform the primary functions of the position
  • Must be knowledgeable in the use of MSOffice products as well as SAP. Knowledge of Oracle is a plus

Additional qualifications

Experience and knowledge in offshore drilling equipment and associated maintenance.
