Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Accounting Department in financial analysis, creating timely and accurate financial statements, reconciliation of accounts and financial reporting projects.

Essential Functions

  • Process month-end, quarter-end and year-end balancing and journal entries.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year–end financial reports showing operating performance.
  • Involvement in eliminations, consolidations and financial analysis of assigned business regions.

Additional functions

Provide documentation and support annual external audit process, internal controls testing, location statutory audits and internal audits, as needed. Participate in coordination with multiple locations ensuring proper entries and updates in accordance with legal entity and ownership structure.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
  • Should have at least 7 years of work experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Must be capable of working in a team environment.
  • Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.
  • Must be able to operate a 10 key by touch and type 40+ WPM.
  • Must have good PC skills to include all MS Office products with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be knowledgeable of GAAP.
  • Must be proficient with data upload processes.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and able to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers and vendors.
  • Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions.

Additional qualifications, skills and abilities

Knowledge of IFRS is a plus. Must have working understanding of internal controls. Ability to work independently and research historical accounting transactions. Experience in Oracle, Hyperion HFM and/or other ERP system is a plus.
