POSITION SUMMARY
Parker Wellbore Security Coordinator role is responsible for the overall security of the geomarket, including monitoring the security apparatus at various PW locations within the geomarket. This role will audit and assess site-specific and customer-initiated controls to determine if security measures are commensurate with the assessed risk and provisions of the contract. Travel between the different locations in the geomarket will be required. This could include austere environments and living conditions. There will be instances when the need to remain on location for 24 hours or more will be required to determine if the security measures are being implemented throughout all shifts/rotations. Specific requirements for this role include:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS will include the following:
· As a subject matter expert in security and risk management, provide effective functional and professional expertise and recommendations to the Geomarket Management on security for all Parker Wellbore geomarket locations.
· Report regularly to the Geomarket HSE Manager and Corporate Security Manager on all security matters, intelligence and incidents.
· Provide intelligence updates to site management as appropriate.
· Review and ensure that site-specific security risk assessments are conducted and current for both existing and prospective PW facilities and operations.
· Develop, maintain, and update site security plans as needed.
· Ensure risk management and Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) are in place and aligned with the threat and PW Global Security and risk management objectives. Identify gaps and address through effective corrective actions.
· Generate and distribute security reports to PW stakeholders as needed/ when necessary.
· Ensure security policies and standards are implemented and communicated.
· Conduct security awareness training for local PW staff, rig and visiting personnel.
· Ensure that security drills and components of established security plans are understood and exercised by PW personnel at all locations.
· Coordinate daily with customer POC(s) responsible for Security and Community Relations in order to ensure that risk assessments are current and that security efforts required of the customer by contract are effectively carried out and adequate to meet current, emerging and evolving threats.
· Collaborate and coordinate with location and customer HSE Managers, Advisors and Operations on all Journey Management issues to include route selection, hazards, and controls, planning, driver preparedness, communication, vehicle selection and authorization.
· Maintain contacts and information networks to ensure PW remains informed of security trends in the area of operations.
· Coordinate security projects.
· Coordinate protection of personnel, property, and information.
· Inspect and evaluate physical, technical, and operational security controls in area of operations.
· Support investigations into security incidents.
· Provide management and direction to third-party security providers (e.g. guards), where appropriate.
· Coordinate with HR team to monitor Personnel on Board (POB) registers and site specific security plans.
· Abide by company policies and procedures.
· Other duties and special projects as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· A security professional with a minimum of 4 years’ experience working in South America, specifically Mexico and Colombia.
· Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
· Intermediate computer and Microsoft office skills.
· Formal training in critical lifesaving techniques, such as TCCC, CLS, FPOS-I or an equivalent.
· Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification is desirable but not required.
· A comprehensive understanding of military and security integrations, with preference given to applicants with prior military experience and private security interactions and communications.
· Shall have a comprehensive knowledge of current threats and bad actors in the region; as well as detailed knowledge of best practices for mitigating risks in conjunction with planning based on Parker Wellbore operating procedures.
· Must be able to identify issues in communications that can create hazards, as well as create a suitable solution to mitigate risk and achieve the goal of securing the worksites.
· Proven experience in working in environments in the oil & gas sectors is preferred.
· Shall have proven knowledge of defensive driving techniques.
