Job Description

Responsible for conducting general onboarding and sustainment trainings as required by company, client, or regulatory bodies per project/location.  Trainings will be primarily of an awareness or practical application, and may originate from a variety of functional scopes, such as human resources, health & safety, quality management systems, operational scope, etc. 

Essential Functions:

  • Delivers training modules to employees and direct-supervised contractors/contingent workers.  Training may be performed in-person or remotely.  This role travel to operational locations throughout the geomarket.
  • Advises regions/projects/locations on training requirements based on scope, customer, client, or location needs. 
  • Helps regions and functions coordinate, plan, and forecast training.  This includes the logistical management of training facilities and materials required for effective delivery of training.
  • Contributes to training material content and management.  Adapts learning tools and techniques accordingly to various audience groups, depending on their unique locations, roles, or relationship to company and operations.
  • Maintains records and evidences related to delivery of training on behalf of the company and individual employees training, in accordance with record retention policies and procedures.
  • Provides feedback and contributes to the continual improvement of training program & materials, based on evaluation of training effectiveness

  • Completion of train-the-trainer, adult learning techniques, and/or educational certifications
  • Understands and can apply various methods of training and education appropriate to subject matter and audience.
  • Experience in energy sector, specifically upstream oil & gas
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Capable of navigating Learning Management System software to support the maintenance and recording of training evidences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in-person and via remote communication platforms
  • Able to understand and convey to others the perspectives of various functional elements of work environment: operations, health & safety, quality management, technical or trades-based scopes, etc.
  • Experience communicating and working with employees of various nationality and background, including languages spoken.  Must be prepared to work with use of translators/interpreters. 
    • Required Languages Spoken: English
    • Preferred/Optional Languages Spoken: Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Kurdish, Bahasa

Physical demands and work environment

  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data.

  • Wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to hard hat, steel-toed safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, safety glasses, goggles and full body harness.
  • Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, carry, push/pull, reach, and use repetitive wrist and hand movements.
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and/or ramps while carrying tools requiring a reasonable degree of physical stamina and agility and involving moderate to severe physical exertion
