Job Description

The machinist is responsible for operating the company's machines and equipment for carrying out work operations described in the work order.

Essential Functions:

  • Produce/repair products and details in terms of work order and in accordance with the licensors and Parker Wellbore's requirements.
  • Must have experience of making and programming for Licensee Threads Must be able to work in automated CNC Machine
  • Carry out and document self-inspection of products in accordance with the licensors' and PW own requirements. Carry out checks on other people's products where requirements for competence have been met.
  • Follow up routines for start-up and maintenance of machines and ensure that these are kept in good condition, as well as generally keeping the workshop in good order. In addition, the machinist must keep the tools and measuring equipment that are used in connection with production in order and immediately report any errors/deviations on the equipment.
  • Machinists may be assigned other tasks by their immediate superiors.
  • Machinist is responsible for the quality of own and the department's work and must use PW its KS system to ensure that the work meets the current requirements.
  • Machinist shall also contribute to continuous improvement of the quality of our products and services through feedback on current procedures, registration of deviations and suggestions for improvements

Qualifications

Experience Required 

  • Mazatrol and Siemens to the operating and programming
  • Experience in operating machines with Fanuc, Mazatro and/or Siemens controls
  • Experience in creating programs on Fanuc, Mazatro and/or Siemens

 

Should have Strong Written & Verbal skills, English and  Norwegian

Physical demands and work environment

  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Ability to work around moving machinery
  • Ability to perform under stress, under pressure, and/or in emergency situations.
  • Lift, carry, and move objects of up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate machinery and/or power tools.
  • Wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to hard hat, steel-toed safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, safety glasses, goggles and full body harness.
  • Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, carry, push/pull, reach, and use repetitive wrist and hand movements.
  • Operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
