Job Description

This HR Manager Eastern Hemisphere is responsible for supporting the Human Resources department by managing, implementing and administering employee relations, human resource policies, programs and practices in accordance with the ethical practices of the Company; and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental, regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations.

Essential Functions:

  • With direction from the HR Field Advisor will provide coaching and guidance to field management and employees to effectively address workplace issues as well as lead and assist in special projects as the business dictates.
  • Partner with site management in the development and implementation of strategies that support the development, engagement and retention of employees.
  • Assist with the development and review of Human Resources policies; develops, publishes and administers Human Resources procedures to ensure adherence to the policies.
  • With direction from the HR Field Advisor, will lead all HR efforts to ensure that employment related information, processes and procedures meet internal and external audit requirements.
  • Responsible for directing the maintenance of personnel records in HRIS and hard copy while assuring HIPPA protocol.
  • Prepare new hire packets and administer new hire orientations for employees to thoroughly induct them into the Company’s policies, procedures, core values, mission and vision.
  • Responsible for establishing credibility throughout the organization with management and the employees to provide problem solving and coaching expertise.
  • Support all Human Resources policies and objectives for the Company that will establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation, and that comply with policies, procedures, programs and laws.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirement and advising management on needed actions.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Abide by Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure that personal behaviors and work practices are in line with Company safety standards.
  • Responsible for safety of self and others in the vicinity to include, but not limited to, employees, vendors and guests.
  • Provide visible leadership engagement, be aware of housekeeping and take additional safety precautions to ensure no one is put at risk.
  • Do not take short cuts or unnecessary risks and actively work with others to ensure they take due care and do not put themselves or others at risk.
  • Ensure all incidents are reported and appropriately investigated in accordance with Company procedure.
  • As needed, seek advice from HSE representative.

Qualifications

Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or equivalent, is required.
  • Should have at least 7 years of work experience.
  • Must have broad and in-depth knowledge of federal and state laws governing Human Resources.
  • Must be able to find solutions to business problems through HR initiatives.
  • Must have ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality, accuracy, timeliness and attention to detail.
  • Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.
  • Must have good PC skills to include all MS Office products with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers and vendors.
  • Must possess sound reasoning skills and have the ability to follow directions.

Additional qualifications, skills and abilities

Preferably industry background, familiar with Norway, North Sea, UK and Continental Europe
