Position summary
To carry out basic operation tasks as allocated tasks by the Supervisor or Manager In addition the development of skills, abilities and competence to the Level II Repair and Maintenance Technician standard will be required through an ongoing training schedule.
Essential functions
Test dirty jars upon arrival from the field with supervision or after competence training. Drain jars, disassemble and tag parts with supervision or after competence training. Assemble Jars with supervision. Recognize faulty parts, and troubleshoot potential tool problems with supervision. Steam clean and wire brush all parts. Set torque springs with supervision. Fill tools with oil and pressure test with supervision. Test assembled jars with supervision. Paint and put jars in stock. Operate overhead crane after third party competence training. Maintain constant alertness for flaws in the parts and report problems to Shop Foreman or Jar Service Manager. Replace hand tools to their proper locations.
Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities
SSC with ITI or Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree with mechanical aptitude 3+ year of relevant experience in Oil & Gas Industry Perform visual inspection with supervision. Maintain and encourage good housekeeping. Have a good understanding of ITS Energy Services Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions. Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of ITS Energy Services. Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level. Maintain shop and equipment, work in steam bay, paint tools and general shop duties. Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
